Dr Manju Palam
Manju's formative years were initially in Gippsland and then in the outer eastern suburb of Upwey, where his father worked as a medical practitioner. He was schooled at Yarra Valley Grammar and then the final two years of schooling at University High School.
Manju graduated from The University of Melbourne Dental School, with electives at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He has had further training in Minimally Invasive Preventive Dentistry and Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry in San Diego, California, and attended mini-residencies in dental implants, crown and bridge, dental aesthetics and root canal therapeutics both here in Australia and in the US. He is a foundation member of the Australian Dental Association’s Continuing Education Programme.
Manju has been accepted into the 2017 Masters Programme in Aesthetic Dentistry at King's College, University of London. This is a three year partime programme.
Manju practiced in Warrnambool, in South Western Victoria for 17 years, including a branch practice in Timboon with assistant dentists. Whilst in Warrnambool both Simone and Manju were actively involved with Rotary International and were benefactors of Brophy House (Family and Youth Services Charity).
Manju met Simone whilst they were both students at The University of Melbourne. They are married with two teenage children who attend local schools. Manju's main interest outside of dentistry is playing tennis either with his children or socially.
Ms Simone Palam
Manju and Simone met during their undergraduate years at The University of Melbourne. Simone is a dietitian by training however has not worked in that profession following the birth of their children. She helps out at the practice in the reception and with the admin work. She enjoys gardening and walking her dog Lola.
Ms Lina Vlachos
Lina has worked as a surgical nurse for over 20 years with some of the leading dentists and oral surgeons in Melbourne. She commenced working with Manju 10 years ago. She loves the active role she plays in patient care and has a very cheerful disposition.
Outside of nursing she is a doting mum to her three children and helps with the admin of her husband’s busy construction business.
Ms Meli Solemani
Meli’s trained as a dental nurse in Iran and has recently decided to re-enter the profession having migrated to Australia about 5 years ago. She followed in the footsteps of her older sister who had worked at Camberwell Dental Centre in the past. Outside of work she helps with her husband’s building business.
Ms Clare Smith
Clare started out in hospitality then decided to try her hand at dental assisting. Graduated from Menzies Institute of Technology in 2013. She started working as a dental assistant in 2014 and hasn't looked back.
